About the Time Zone Converter

The FreeToolsPoint Time Zone Converter combines a selected-city time comparison tool with a live World Clock. The current city list contains 20 locations linked to standard IANA time-zone identifiers supported by modern browsers.

The converter displays a selected date and time for two cities. The World Clock displays the current time and date for each supported location and updates the visible clock cards every second.

Users can search the supported city list and mark cities as favourites. Favourite names are stored in localStorage in the current browser so they can remain available after the page is reloaded.

Common Uses of a Time Zone Converter

  • Comparing travel departure and arrival schedules.
  • Planning online classes, webinars or livestreams.
  • Monitoring business hours in international markets.
  • Saving frequently checked cities in the World Clock.

Time Zone Converter Limitations

The converter uses the browser’s JavaScript Date and Internationalization functions. Its results depend on the device clock, browser support and available time-zone data.

In the current conversion logic, the entered date and time are first created according to the device browser’s local time zone. That moment is then formatted for the selected source and destination zones.

This means the entered value is not independently parsed as a local wall-clock time inside the selected source city. Users should check important meeting, flight or deadline times using an official scheduling system.

  • Only the 20 listed cities are available.
  • The city abbreviation and UTC offset labels are fixed.
  • Fixed labels may not match seasonal daylight saving changes.
  • Browser time-zone support can vary on older devices.
  • An incorrect device date or time can affect World Clock results.
  • The tool does not create calendar invitations.
Confirm important flights, legal deadlines, interviews, examinations and business meetings using an official source or calendar application.

Time Zone Converter Privacy

The city selections, time conversion and World Clock display are handled through JavaScript in the browser. The supplied tool code does not contain a command that uploads the entered date, time or city selections to FreeToolsPoint.

Favourite city names are saved in the browser’s localStorage under the key favoriteCities. These favourites remain available until they are removed, localStorage is cleared or the browser removes the stored data.

The wider website may separately use hosting logs, analytics, cookies or advertising services. Those activities should be explained in the main FreeToolsPoint Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
